30 "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers-most of which are never even seen-don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?31 What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving.32 People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works.33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

34 "Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

These verses are chock-full of all the things I need to be beaten into my brain.

It starts off with something very simple and often overlooked, but incredibly comforting. And then he starts speaking directly to my major weaknesses- anxiety and impatience. I need to be constantly reminded to relax, and even further- to slow down, to not only heed but to respond, and essentially, to let Him do His thing.

Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions

To steep my life in

God- actual existence & substance

God- power, promptings

God- supplying & providing

... then finding all my everyday human concerns are met.

And ultimately
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.

I love the NKJV version of the last part of this verse:
"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things."

All words I need to literally reiterate to myself over and over again.
